Crisis Management & Business Surgery Expertise
I’m frequently invited into businesses and/or related projects at the point they’ve either hit or about to hit critical mass or in crisis. It’s that point where my clients realise that they are either about to go under or at the very least they’re going to have take a very big financial and credibility hit. These self generating scenarios almost always originate from commercial undertakings that perhaps they should have thought through more or indeed even walked away from when they had a choice. Unfortunately final state rewards fixation, desperation and even gross naivety are often the precursors for the situations I find my clients business or project delivery capabilities in at the point I’m invited in to provide business surgery support.
When I’m undertaking business surgery initiatives on behalf of my clients I’m always performing business centred root cause analysis, where I’m continually analysing and looking for none compliance and associated skills gaps within my clients operational, commercial, service delivery, intellectual, cultural and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Simply because that is always where I need to make an impact quickly as a crisis management executive if I'm to save my clients business and/or related projects from going under.
Businesses traditionally run into difficulties when they either over extend themselves through either naivety or in some instances fundamentally flawed business intelligence. Nevertheless in such situations what I bring to the table is the ability to impose fast track, win-win and overall business stabilisation within my clients’ global operating arena. I achieve this by (a) proactively addressing all service delivery weaknesses within my clients operations and all associated supply chain links, whilst (b) instigating and continually propagating real time business consciousness amongst my clients representatives, designed specifically to enhance overall service delivery capabilities whilst creating a very clear sense of belief.
Make no mistake however about the authoritative nature of the business surgery services that I provide, because they are neither frothy nor wishy washy, my service delivery intent is extremely fast track, focused and pragmatically designed to help save my business patient which can range from a rather sickly business to perhaps a terminally ill project.
I’ve never completed an assignment where I’ve conducted business surgery on behalf of my clients, where that business or project has not been completely remodelled into a far more resilient entity in its own right. Yet whilst that journey may have to be difficult at key stages of that process, my clients at the point we reach calmer waters quickly appreciate and realise, that the business surgery process journey that we all walked together, was by default; the only real difference between their businesses demise and ultimate sustainability.
Staying in business is not always about the business we do today or the business we would like to do tomorrow, sometimes it’s more about the business we choose not to do, simply because over extension and poor business intelligence can be recipes for business disaster.
